"Perhaps it is music that will change the world"
Pablos Casals
As my daughter’s first Suzuki violin teacher, Carrie helped her establish a strong foundation including the importance of practice and repetition by using patterns, rewards, and challenges along the way to make it fun for a new player.
This kept my daughter interested and engaged and gave her the confidence and recognition that consistency and practice pays off! 11 years later, she is a beautiful violinist and to this day, credits Carrie for teaching her how to master the vibrato technique in her playing.
As a parent, Carrie gave me the tips and tricks to be a successful partner in our lessons and practice time. She was always encouraging and provided great feedback and support to me in my role as a Suzuki parent.

“Ms Carrie is a kind, patient and very nurturing music teacher. She started teaching my daughter when she was six years old and taught her for several years. My daughter is now 17 and still plays the violin.
Several people have commented over the years that they can tell Ms Carrie was her teacher during her early violin days. Apparently, all of Ms Carrie’s students and former students have strong technique and great musicality! I think there can be no greater compliment for a music teacher to leave such a legacy with her students.”

Carrie has taught our kids for many years and it has been a truly excellent experience. Carrie has a gift for keeping the lessons focused, being particular about technique and creating a space of deep learning while making it fun and enjoyable. She teaches with patience and kindness. Carrie taught our kids the beauty of music but also the value of practice and hard work. Each of our kids knew that Carrie truly cared about them and we are so grateful for the very positive impact she has had on each one of their lives.

Our daughter was four years old when she began taking lessons with Carrie. She studied violin with her for several years. Carrie is kind, firm and well-respected. The lessons were fun and yet well focused. Carrie really knows how to help the student improve. Under her guidance, our daughter made real progress and enjoyed playing her instrument. Thank you, Carrie!

We love Carrie and are so glad to have her as our daughter's violin teacher. Carrie is a teacher with a big heart. She brings the perfect balance of structure, detail, sensitivity, and fun to her lessons. She considers the student as a whole and knows how to adapt to each student's unique learning style. As a parent who is also a music teacher, I've learned a great deal from observing Carrie's lessons. Nashville is lucky to have her!
